Rabat – The Confederation of African Football (CAF) officially announced on Monday, November 17, 2025, the final lists of three nominees in each men’s category for the “CAF Awards 2025,” which feature a strong Moroccan presence reflecting the increasing dominance of Moroccan football at the continental level. The final ceremony will be held in Rabat on Wednesday, November 19, starting at 19:00 local time (18:00 GMT), celebrating outstanding achievements during the period from January 6 to October 15, 2025.

Achraf Hakimi tops the list of nominees for the African Player of the Year award, after an exceptional season with Paris Saint-Germain, where he contributed to winning four major titles including the Champions League, alongside his leadership role in the Moroccan national team which achieved a record winning streak. Hakimi competes with Mohamed Salah (Egypt/Liverpool) and Victor Osimhen (Nigeria/Galatasaray), making him the leading candidate to break Nigeria’s dominance in recent years.

The awards include 7 main categories, with 3 nominees for each:
