The Fes-Meknes Chamber of Commerce holds its general assembly and approves international partnership agreements and major projects

The Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of the Fez-Meknes Region held its Ordinary General Assembly for the second session of 2025 on Thursday, October 30, 2025, in the main conference hall at the Prefecture of Sefrou Province. The session was attended by the Governor of Sefrou Province, who highlighted the Chamber’s role in promoting economic development across the Fez-Meknes Region in general. In his address, the Governor discussed key structuring economic projects in the province, including the Ain Cheggag Industrial Pole, the Industrial Acceleration Zone, and various infrastructure initiatives planned for the area.

Progress on the Ain Cheggag Industrial Pole

The Deputy General Manager of Al Omrane Fez-Meknes presented a detailed overview of the progress on the Ain Cheggag Industrial Pole works. The project includes the development of an integrated zone for leather industries spanning 50 hectares. Emphasis was placed on the need to strengthen the marketing strategy for this zone to attract significant industrial investments, along with key economic data on the anticipated impact of this infrastructure.

Update on the Strategic Plan and Achievement Rate

Participants discussed the update to the Chamber’s strategic plan for the 2022-2027 period, which has achieved over 59% of its outlined objectives. This progress reflects the Chamber’s commitment to supporting the trade, industry, and services sectors in the region.
