Casablanca: Two Siblings Arrested for Trafficking Hallucinogenic Pills with Forged Medical Prescriptions

Casablanca, Morocco – As part of ongoing efforts to combat crime, judicial police officers in the Sidi Bernoussi security district of Casablanca successfully arrested two siblings, a 23-year-old man and his 27-year-old sister, on Tuesday afternoon. They are suspected of being involved in a criminal network specializing in forging medical prescriptions and trafficking drugs and psychotropic substances.

The arrests were made after close surveillance of the suspects, who were caught red-handed in possession of and distributing hallucinogenic pills. A search of their car resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of drugs, amounting to 1,720 pills of various types.

The seizure was not limited to drugs; officers also found a collection of forged medical certificates and prescriptions, in addition to blank printouts bearing fake seals. This evidence reveals their dual criminal activity of forgery and drug trafficking.

The two suspects have been placed in police custody under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office. This measure is in place pending the completion of the judicial investigation, which aims to uncover all extensions of this criminal network and identify all individuals involved, in preparation for their prosecution.
