The Agadir Security Directorate reacted promptly and seriously on Tuesday, July 22, following the circulation of a video on social media showing an SUV driving on the sands of Agadir’s beach. The video was accompanied by comments claiming that the vehicle carried foreign license plates and entered the beach in a manner endangering the safety of beachgoers.
Investigations revealed that the incident is linked to a case previously handled by the local police department in Agadir. The driver of the foreign-plated vehicle was intercepted by police patrols and public security forces operating on the beach immediately after illegally accessing the sands, claiming ignorance of the national regulations governing beach use.
The foreign driver is currently subject to judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to determine the circumstances and details of the case, uncover its true background, and document any alleged violations attributed to the individual.
The Agadir Security Directorate reiterates its full commitment to ensuring the safety of citizens and beach visitors and to confronting any conduct that risks public order and safety, while diligently following up on all violations threatening community well-being.
