Based on precise information provided by the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, police officers from the Marrakech Security Directorate arrested a suspect today, Monday, July 14, on charges related to possession and trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances, and seized 36,000 “Rivotril” pills in his possession.
The suspect was apprehended at a traffic checkpoint at the entrance to Marrakech, immediately after arriving in a light vehicle coming from one of the northern cities of the kingdom. A search revealed the large quantity of narcotic pills.
The suspect is currently under judicial investigation supervised by the competent public prosecutor’s office, aiming to identify possible extensions of this criminal activity and uncover all related offenses.
