Agadir: Arrest of Two British Nationals Wanted Internationally on Criminal Charges

The provincial judicial police unit in Agadir, acting on precise information provided by the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, arrested two British nationals this Saturday afternoon. Both individuals are subject to international arrest warrants issued by the judicial authorities of their home country.

According to a security source, the arrests took place in the Anza area of Agadir. A check against the Interpol database revealed that the first individual is wanted under an international arrest warrant by British judicial authorities on suspicion of involvement in a murder case. The second individual is the subject of a red notice issued by the same authorities for suspected failure to appear in court and violation of conditional release terms.

The source added that both detainees were placed under judicial custody pending extradition procedures, while British security authorities were notified of the arrests to initiate the extradition file.

This arrest reflects ongoing international security cooperation and the efforts of Moroccan security services to track down individuals wanted internationally for cross-border crimes, thereby strengthening national and international security.
