U.S. Embassy in Rabat Celebrates 249th Independence Day with Moroccan Officials in Attendance

The United States Embassy in Rabat held a celebration yesterday marking the 249th anniversary of the United States’ independence. The event was characterized by an atmosphere of friendship and mutual cooperation between Morocco and the United States.

Representing the Moroccan side, the Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Leila Benali, attended alongside several government officials, diplomatic corps representatives, and prominent figures from civil society.

The occasion served as an opportunity to strengthen the strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States. In her speech, U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Amy Catrone expressed her country’s aspiration for continued shared prosperity and emphasized working hand in hand with Morocco toward a sustainable and prosperous future that benefits both peoples.

The celebration featured various activities reflecting the depth of bilateral relations and the spirit of cooperation spanning multiple sectors, including economic development, renewable energy, and education, thereby enhancing prospects for future collaboration.
