Agadir, Morocco – In a successful security operation, elements of the Provincial Judicial Police in Agadir, in close coordination with the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), arrested seven (07) individuals this Thursday morning, May 29, 2025. The detainees include two high school students, two private education teachers, and two university students, suspected of involvement in facilitating cheating in baccalaureate exams.

The threads of this network unraveled after national security services arrested two baccalaureate candidates at an exam center in Agadir, caught red-handed cheating using sophisticated wireless electronic equipment connected to communication networks.

Preliminary investigations led to a simultaneous security operation conducted inside a residential apartment in the same city, where the two private education teachers and two university students were apprehended. They are suspected of providing the arrested candidates with answers through the seized electronic equipment, in exchange for financial compensation.

The arrest and search procedures carried out as part of this case resulted in the seizure of mobile phones and a laptop, as well as sums of money and money transfer receipts suspected to be proceeds from this criminal activity.

The arrested suspects have been placed under theoretical custody, while the two student candidates have been subjected to judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution. This investigation aims to uncover all circumstances and details of this case and to determine all criminal acts attributed to the individuals concerned.

This security operation falls within the framework of the General Directorate of National Security and Territorial Surveillance’s commitment to fortifying official examinations against all forms of cheating, ensuring their integrity, and promoting the principles of equality and equal opportunities among candidates, with the aim of preserving the credibility of national certificates.
