Casablanca: Mohamed Moubdii’s Trial for Embezzlement Adjourned

Casablanca: The criminal chamber of the Casablanca Court of Appeal, which handles financial crimes, decided on Thursday to adjourn the trial of former minister and ex-president of the Fquih Ben Salah communal council, Mohamed Moubdii, until May 29.

According to a source from Le Site info, the court heard one of the accused, who is being prosecuted while in detention for participation in the embezzlement of public funds, during Thursday’s session. The accused denied all charges brought against him.

The defendant stated that his duties were purely administrative and did not involve decision-making or the evaluation of bids related to public procurement. The individual in question also presented a copy of a decision issued by the Ministry of Interior proving that the composition of the bid-opening committee is legally determined.

It is worth noting that Mohamed Moubdii is being prosecuted for squandering public funds, abuse of power, corruption, and falsification of official, commercial, and private documents.
