Laayoune: The city of Laayoune witnessed, on Tuesday, May 6th, the signing ceremony of a partnership agreement between the Mohammed VI Foundation for Social Works of National Security Personnel and the Agency for the Promotion and Economic and Social Development of the Southern Provinces of the Kingdom. The agreement aims to enhance cooperation and coordination in areas of infrastructure development and social and sports facilities for national security personnel in the region.1
This agreement seeks to improve the quality of social services provided to members of the national security in the Laayoune Security Prefecture and the Dakhla Regional Security, thereby contributing to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the public security service, which serves the general public.2
The agreement includes the funding by the Agency for the Promotion and Development of the Southern Provinces, in collaboration with the Mohammed VI Foundation for Social Works, to equip national security headquarters in the cities of Laayoune, Smara, Dakhla, Boujdour, Guelmim, Tan-Tan, and the Guerguerat border crossing with modern and fully equipped sports halls and multi-purpose social spaces, under the supervision of the Foundation.
This agreement represents a further step in the General Directorate of National Security’s efforts to modernize and develop its services in the southern provinces, which include updating infrastructure and human resources, and expanding the scope of social services provided to all national security personnel working in the region.
This agreement is part of a series of partnerships entered into by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Social Works to improve social services provided to the national security family nationwide.3 A similar agreement was signed with the Agency for the Development of the North on April 8th, and preparations are underway for a similar agreement with the Agency for the Development of the East in the near future, aimed at strengthening the social, cultural, and sports infrastructure in national security headquarters in the eastern provinces of the Kingdom.4
