The Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform announced the signing of a new framework agreement with the General Directorate of National Security, aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two institutions to develop e-government and expand the use of digital identity linked to the national electronic identity card.

The agreement was signed on Friday afternoon at the ministry’s headquarters, in the presence of the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Amel Flah Saghrouchni, and the Director General of National Security and the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance, Abdelatif Hammouchi.

This move is part of the implementation of royal directives aimed at accelerating the digital transformation of the administration and simplifying access to public services. It also aligns with the “Digital Morocco 2030” strategy, which seeks to bring about a qualitative leap in Morocco’s digital sector.

The agreement aims to establish a legal and regulatory framework that governs cooperation between the two institutions, allowing for the exchange of data and secure technical services, including digital identity verification services provided by the “Trusted National Third Party” system for various public administrations and services.

The new partnership is based on the principle of functional integration between sectors, which will improve service quality, accelerate the pace of digital transformation, and provide more efficient and comprehensive digital public services focused on citizen comfort and experience. This will be achieved by reducing the need for physical presence and replacing it with secure digital transactions.
