In a notable development aimed at reinforcing digital security measures within public institutions, the National Agency for Land Conservation, Cadastre, and Cartography (ANCFCC) announced on Monday the temporary suspension of its digital platform services, following cyberattacks on sensitive information systems.
In an official statement, the agency confirmed that this precautionary measure is designed to fortify its IT infrastructure against any potential threats and to ensure the continued provision of its services in a secure manner. The agency also stated that it would temporarily revert to traditional methods, where transactions will be processed through paper submissions, and fees will be paid directly at the agency’s counters.
The institution has called on all professionals it works with, including notaries, lawyers, and bailiffs, as well as the general public, to visit the relevant land registry agencies in person to conduct their transactions until further notice.
This decision comes amid a wave of cyber threats targeting several official institutions in the Kingdom, prompting a heightened state of vigilance and an increased focus on strengthening the cyber defense infrastructure to ensure data security and protect digital systems.
