“Fès News” has received exclusive information from a reliable central source within the Ministry of Interior, indicating that the decision to cancel the construction of bridges and overpasses from the current major construction deals in the city of Fez came within the framework of a new national strategic plan. This plan aims to unify the technical and artistic standards for elevated crossings in various Moroccan cities, in preparation for the Kingdom’s hosting of the 2030 World Cup finals.
The source confirmed that the Ministry of Interior is working on preparing a unified model for urban overpasses and bridges. This model will have a direct positive impact on the flow of traffic within major cities, especially Fez, which experiences severe traffic congestion during peak hours.
The same source pointed out that this model will be generalized to a number of Moroccan cities that suffer from structural problems in their traffic infrastructure, emphasizing that Fez will be among the first cities to benefit from this new direction.
