The Royal Gendarmerie elements in Ouled Tayeb and Bensouda, Fez, are continuing their intensive efforts to dismantle a dangerous criminal gang involved in a series of robberies and armed assaults targeting citizens in several rural areas surrounding Fez.
According to private sources from “Fès News,” the Gendarmerie services recently managed to arrest one of the criminal elements belonging to this gang after precise investigations and a successful field pursuit. Meanwhile, the remaining members of the gang are still at large, continuing to commit their crimes by exploiting nighttime to hide during the day, thus evading security pursuit.
The gang is known for its violence and use of bladed weapons to intimidate its victims, resulting in injuries of varying severity and the theft of personal belongings from passersby, which has caused a state of terror and resentment among the residents.
The Gendarmerie teams are conducting extensive sweep campaigns, using modern tracking techniques and victim testimonies, to reach the remaining members of the criminal network and bring them to justice.
Citizens hope that these actions will yield rapid results, putting an end to the state of fear that prevails in the affected areas.
