Urgent – Illegal Immigration Plot Dismantled: Security Arrests Two Individuals in Fez and Chefchaouen Who Planned to Breach the Ceuta Fence!

In a new preemptive strike, the police services of the Tetouan Security Prefecture, in close coordination with the regional security district of Chefchaouen and the Fez Security Prefecture, and with the active participation of the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), arrested two individuals on Tuesday morning, March 25, 2025, suspected of involvement in promoting false news and digital content that incites illegal immigration to the occupied city of Ceuta.

Accurate information from the National Security’s cyber vigilance services revealed the existence of dangerous digital publications on social media platforms that explicitly call for storming the security fence separating Fnideq city and Ceuta, and incite young people to embark on collective and organized illegal immigration adventures, while making false promises and deceptive incentives.

Intensive technical investigations and field inquiries led to the identification of the two suspects. The first was arrested in the rural area of “Bouztat,” belonging to the Bab Taza commune in the vicinity of Chefchaouen, while the second was arrested in the city of Fez, which has recently become a digital target for networks inciting illegal immigration.

The two suspects were placed under custody on the orders of the competent public prosecutor’s office to deepen the investigation and uncover all the circumstances of this case, including determining the true backgrounds and motives behind this dangerous criminal activity that targets security and stability and directly affects a wide segment of Moroccan youth.

This successful security operation is part of the ongoing efforts of the National Security and the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, within the framework of a strict national strategy aimed at drying up the sources of human trafficking networks and firmly addressing all forms of incitement to illegal immigration, especially through digital media.
