Loudyi Receives Cameroonian Defense Minister to Sign Military Cooperation Agreement

Rabat – In execution of the High Royal Instructions, Mr. Abdeltif Loudyi, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of National Defense Administration, received on Tuesday at the Administration’s headquarters Mr. Joseph Beti Assomo, Minister Delegate to the Presidency of the Republic of Cameroon in charge of Defense, accompanied by a high-level delegation.

This visit, which falls within the framework of strengthening and diversifying bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Cameroon, was marked by the signing of a military cooperation agreement between the two countries, according to a statement from the National Defense Administration. This agreement represents a new phase in military cooperation, focusing primarily on areas of training, military exercises, military health, and technical assistance.

During the meeting, Mr. Loudyi highlighted Morocco’s efforts to enhance regional stability and security, praising the Royal Initiative launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, which aims to transform the Atlantic coast of Africa into a hub for economic integration, a space of peace and shared prosperity, encompassing the Atlantic coastal countries of the continent and the Sahel nations.

For his part, Mr. Joseph Beti Assomo emphasized the high priority of the partnership with the Kingdom of Morocco, expressing his admiration for the various South-South and regional cooperation initiatives launched under the leadership of His Majesty the King for the benefit of the African continent.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed their shared ambition and commitment to further strengthening these relations in the future through the implementation of the military cooperation agreement signed today, reflecting the development of the bonds of friendship and mutual respect between the two countries.
