Minister of Health Cancels Outsourcing Contracts for Security and Cleaning in Public Hospitals

Abdellah Bouanou, head of the parliamentary group of the Justice and Development Party, revealed that the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Amin Tahraoui, has decided to cancel several outsourcing contracts, particularly those related to security and cleaning services. This decision has raised questions about the management of this vital sector.

Bouanou, citing his sources, explained that the decision was communicated to regional ministry officials via a short text message (SMS), indicating a review of the specifications for these contracts. The review aims to amend certain conditions before reintroducing them.

He further noted that all contracts signed at the level of hospital centers and regional delegations will be entirely canceled and replaced with new contracts managed at the level of regional directorates. This measure is part of a different approach to reorganizing these services within the healthcare sector.
