The Moroccan national rugby team (15) is conducting a training camp from March 14 to 16 in Agen, France, with the participation of 40 players, in preparation for the 2025 Africa Cup. The Royal Moroccan Rugby Federation stated in a press release that this camp is part of the team’s preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations finals, which will be held in Uganda in July, and which serves as a qualifier for the World Cup to be hosted by Australia in 2027.
The same source added that monthly training camps will be organized until July 2025, in accordance with the program approved by the federation’s technical team, aiming to ensure the national team is well-prepared for this continental event. In this context, the federation has scheduled two friendly matches during this period, the details of which will be announced later.
This training camp aims to prepare the players physically and tactically for the continental competitions, strengthen team cohesion, and test new strategies to be adopted during the tournament. The national team will continue to hold monthly training camps until the tournament, focusing on improving individual and collective performance. The planned friendly matches will also provide an opportunity to test the team’s level against strong opponents, contributing to enhancing the players’ readiness.
This training camp reflects the commitment of the Royal Moroccan Rugby Federation to providing full support to the national team, aiming to represent Morocco honorably in the 2025 Africa Cup and strive for qualification for the 2027 World Cup.
