As part of the ongoing efforts by the Social Solidarity Association for the employees of the General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration, aimed at strengthening social bonds and promoting sports activities as a means of positive communication, the first round of the National Indoor Football Championship kicked off on Friday evening, March 7, 2025, at the Ain Haroun Covered Hall in Fez. This annual championship is part of the association’s cultural and sports activities for prison employees.
This year marks the fifth edition of the competition, which has become a key event in the cultural and sports activities of prison staff. The championship aims to create a sports-friendly environment that promotes solidarity and cooperation among various correctional institutions.
The qualifiers in Fez saw intense competition. The first match was between the local prison team of Ras El Ma and the local prison team of Borkayz. The match ended in a well-deserved victory for Borkayz with a score of 4-2. In the second match, the local prison team of Taounate demonstrated their strength with an impressive 13-1 victory over the local prison team of Taza.
Additionally, the teams of the local prisons of Sefrou and Errachidia advanced directly to the semifinals, as the teams from Midelt and Missour withdrew from the qualifiers.
Based on the match results, the semifinals will take place this evening, where the team from Borkayz will face the team from Taounate, and the team from Errachidia will play against the team from Sefrou.
