Two Polish Nationals Arrested in Morocco on International Drug Trafficking Charges

As part of enhanced international security cooperation with U.S. law enforcement agencies, elements of the National Judicial Police Brigade in Morocco have arrested two Polish nationals, aged 33 and 43. The suspects were the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by U.S. judicial authorities for their alleged involvement in a criminal network engaged in the international promotion of synthetic drugs.

The arrests took place in the city of Tangier, where a verification process in the international database of wanted individuals revealed that the suspects were sought under an arrest warrant issued by U.S. judicial authorities. Investigations indicate their alleged involvement in international operations trafficking chemically synthesized “fentanyl,” a highly potent and dangerous drug.

The suspects have been placed under provisional custody pending extradition procedures, with U.S. authorities notified of their arrest to initiate the extradition process.

This arrest is part of the ongoing efforts by Moroccan security services to strengthen international cooperation in combating transnational crime and pursuing individuals wanted internationally. It underscores Morocco’s active role in confronting international criminal networks and safeguarding public security at both national and international levels.
