In line with the ongoing implementation of a strategy to promote rotation in leadership positions and open opportunities for young competencies to take on security management responsibilities, the General Directorate of National Security announced on Tuesday, March 4, a new list of 23 appointments to leadership roles within the decentralized departments of the National Security in several Moroccan cities.
These appointments, approved by the Director General of National Security, Abdellatif Hammouchi, included internal mobility among the heads of security districts under the Casablanca Prefecture. Notably, the head of the Regional Security District in Mohammedia was appointed to lead the Rahma Security District, while the former head of the Rahma Security District was reassigned. Additionally, two police district chiefs in Casablanca were appointed.
The appointments also involved assigning security officials to head other decentralized departments of the National Security. This included the appointment of 19 heads for security affairs and information security departments at the prefectural, regional, and provincial levels. The cities covered by these appointments include Casablanca, Errachidia, Settat, Safi, Meknes, Al Hoceima, Marrakech, El Jadida, Ouarzazate, Tangier, Agadir, Dakhla, Tetouan, Taza, Beni Mellal, Fez, Salé, Kenitra, and Oujda.
These new appointments are part of an ongoing dynamic aimed at enhancing the efficiency and performance of police human resources. This is achieved by promoting rotation in leadership positions and entrusting field management of police facilities to highly qualified and trained security personnel capable of implementing action plans designed to enhance citizen security and ensure the safety of their property.
