The Fès Meknes Regional Football League has expressed its deep sorrow and regret over the death of young player Mohamed Amine Kaddari, the victim of a heinous crime that shook the city of Meknes on Monday.
In a statement published on its official Facebook page, the league expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased, recalling his contributions in the local courts, where he played football for a club in the city.
The text of the condolence, which was accompanied by a photo of the deceased, read:
“It is with great sadness and sorrow that we received the news of the death of the young player Mohamed Amin El Kaddari.
On this painful occasion, the President of the Regional League, the members of the administrative office, the administrators and all the clubs belonging to the League, extend their sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the family of the deceased, asking God Almighty to have mercy on him and to grant him his final resting place, and inspire his family and relatives with patience and solace. May Allah have mercy on the deceased and grant his family and relatives patience and solace.”
The announcement was met with widespread reaction from sports fans in the city, who expressed their deep sadness over the tragedy, calling for justice for the deceased and punishment for the perpetrators.
