Elements of the judicial police squad in the Ain Chock security district of Casablanca successfully arrested five individuals on Sunday, February 23, including a minor and a person with multiple criminal records, on suspicion of their involvement in a case related to robbery using violence and a motorized vehicle.
According to preliminary investigation data, the suspects are alleged to have used a rented vehicle to intercept victims and rob them under the threat of violence. These crimes were reported in several areas of Casablanca and its surroundings, raising significant security concerns.
Thanks to field investigations and security efforts, the authorities were able to identify the suspects and arrest them during precise security operations carried out in the Ain Chock and Moulay Rachid districts. The search operations also led to the seizure of the rented vehicle used in the criminal activities, as well as a mobile phone suspected to be proceeds from a theft.
The adult suspects have been placed under provisional custody, while the minor has been placed under police supervision, pending the judicial investigation supervised by the relevant public prosecutor’s office. The ongoing investigations aim to uncover all the circumstances and details of the case, as well as to determine all the criminal acts attributed to the suspects.
