In a new development, the President of the Moulay Yacoub Municipal Council announced his decision to withdraw his resignation from his position following extensive discussions with concerned parties and requests from council members and residents. This decision was communicated in a letter dated February 18, 2025, corresponding to Sha’ban 19, 1446, in which the President emphasized the importance of participating in the nation’s reform and development journey.
In his letter, the President mentioned that the decision to retract his resignation came after consultations with several members of the Moulay Yacoub Municipal Council, a letter from the Secretary-General of the party under whose banner he ran, and input from local stakeholders. He pointed out that discussions with the concerned parties confirmed that resignation was not a suitable solution at this time, especially as the nation requires everyone’s efforts to achieve the desired development.
The President stressed the importance of patience and active participation in overcoming challenges, including those mentioned in his previous resignation letter. He also expressed his commitment to maintaining the council’s representation and structures in line with the will expressed through the ballot boxes, reaffirming his dedication to serving the nation from any position.
