On Saturday, January 11, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in Ifrane launched a large-scale vaccination campaign in Sidi Makhfi to immunize children who had not completed their measles (rubella) vaccination doses. This action follows the rapid spread of the disease among children, with approximately 20,000 cases recorded, including 107 deaths.
Local authorities, the rural municipality, and the health center participated in the campaign, urging families to bring their children’s health records to complete the required vaccination doses. The Ministry of Health emphasized the importance of vaccination as the primary means of protecting children and preventing the spread of the disease, stressing the need for collective efforts to address this health crisis.
The campaign called on all parties, including families, to take responsibility and actively participate in protecting the community from the repercussions of this epidemic, which poses a significant risk to children’s health and the lives of families in the region.
