Fes Security Directorate Implements Preemptive Measures to Ensure Safety During New Year’s Eve Celebrations

In celebration of the New Year, the Fes Security Directorate took preemptive measures on December 31, 2024, to ensure the safety of the city and protect its citizens and visitors. Under the supervision of the city’s Security Chief, all available security teams were mobilized to create a sense of security and reassurance for both residents and revelers. The city witnessed an increased presence of security personnel across all major intersections, with additional security measures implemented in popular neighborhoods and densely populated areas.

General Supervisor Mohamed Es-Souiri, Head of the Dar El-Debibgh area, emphasized that this year’s strategy focused primarily on proactive monitoring and comprehensive coverage of key locations. This approach was part of an integrated plan aimed at providing a safe environment during the festivities, with several additional security checkpoints established at strategic points. These checkpoints aimed to facilitate inspection and precise monitoring on major roads, ensuring the safety of the public.

The security plan also involved coordination among various security components such as the judicial police, public security, and uniformed police, who worked in harmony to provide comprehensive coverage throughout the city. These operations were carried out with a high level of professionalism, with all necessary measures taken to monitor areas with large gatherings, contributing to a safe and secure atmosphere during the celebrations.

This strategic approach by the Fes Security Directorate reflects the authorities’ commitment to providing the necessary protection and taking a proactive role in addressing any potential issues, ensuring that the New Year’s celebrations proceeded smoothly and safely.
