Premier League: Two Clubs Eyeing Hakim Ziyech

Two Premier League clubs are showing keen interest in acquiring Hakim Ziyech’s services. According to reports, West Ham United and Ipswich Town are looking to sign the Moroccan international during the January transfer window.

West Ham’s interest stems from their current offensive struggles. The club is dealing with the season-ending injury to Michail Antonio, Niclas Füllkrug’s difficulties adapting to the Premier League, and Danny Ings’ poor form. The Hammers believe that bringing in Ziyech could address these issues and strengthen their squad.

Ziyech, currently with Galatasaray, has expressed his desire to leave the Turkish club. He has reportedly set a condition for terminating his contract with Galatasaray: receiving all his entitled rights. Turkish media outlet “NTV Sport” claims that the Moroccan international is demanding 5.5 million euros for a separation in the upcoming transfer window.

The 31-year-old winger has been vocal about his dissatisfaction at Galatasaray. In a conversation with a journalist from Spor Gecesi Digital, Ziyech allegedly criticized both the club and coach Okan Buruk, stating, “It’s over with Galatasaray. I’m not happy. In fact, I’ve announced to everyone that I’ll be leaving the club in January.”

Ziyech also reportedly expressed regret over joining Galatasaray and harshly criticized coach Buruk, saying, “I’ve never seen such a weak coach. I regret joining Galatasaray so much. The results no longer interest me. I should have left the club at the beginning of the season, but they prevented me from doing so.”

With his experience in the Premier League from his time at Chelsea, Ziyech could be an attractive option for both West Ham and Ipswich Town. As the January transfer window approaches, it remains to be seen which club, if any, will secure the services of the Moroccan international.
