Residents of Sebaa Rouadi Protest Poor Road Conditions in Moulay Yacoub Province

This Tuesday morning, December 24, a peaceful protest took place in front of the Moulay Yacoub Province headquarters, organized by the residents of Sebaa Rouadi Commune. Protesters demanded urgent improvements to the road linking Douar Anounat to the commune’s center. This critical route has significantly deteriorated, impeding residents’ mobility, particularly during the winter season, and exacerbating their struggles to access schools, healthcare facilities, and essential services.

Participants in the protest expressed frustration over the lack of tangible responses to their repeated complaints submitted to local authorities in the past. They highlighted unfulfilled promises to repair the road, prompting them to demonstrate again to ensure their grievances reach decision-makers.

The protesters called on the relevant authorities to expedite the paving and repair of the road in a manner that ensures its durability and alleviates the community’s daily struggles. They also invited officials to visit the area to witness the situation firsthand.

At the conclusion of the demonstration, the residents offered prayers for the swift recovery of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, expressing their gratitude for royal initiatives aimed at improving rural areas. They reiterated that their main demand aligns with the broader goal of enhancing infrastructure and securing their right to safe and reliable transportation.
