In a continued effort to ensure citizen safety and protect public health, authorities in the city of Fez have successfully uncovered an illegal chicken slaughterhouse and thwarted the distribution of a large quantity of meat unfit for consumption.
A joint committee, comprising representatives from the provincial services, the health preservation service of Zouagha district, the National Office for Health Security, and local authorities, managed to detect a premises being used as an illegal slaughterhouse for chicken slaughter and unlawful distribution. This discovery took place in the Al-Anbara subdivision, which falls under the administrative annex of Al-Anbara in Fez.
The operation resulted in the seizure and destruction of approximately 750 kilograms of chicken meat deemed unfit for human consumption. This action comes as part of the ongoing inspection campaigns conducted by the relevant authorities to ensure compliance with health and legal standards in the production and distribution of food products.
