On the morning of December 5, 2024, the Ain Chekkef area, under the jurisdiction of the Ain Aamir annex, witnessed a wide-scale operation supervised by Mr. Zohim Abdel Rahim. This initiative followed directives from Mr. Moaad Jamai, the Wali of the Fes-Meknes region, as part of ongoing efforts to organize public space usage and maintain public order.
The campaign aimed to remove unauthorized structures and illegal encroachments that had marred the urban landscape. Operations included dismantling unlicensed extensions occupying public spaces and verifying permits for public space usage to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
This initiative aligns with the strict enforcement of Regulatory Decision No. 05/2005, issued on December 11, 2017, which outlines the conditions and guidelines for temporary use of communal public spaces. Local authorities are requiring users to adhere to these regulations to protect public spaces from infringements that could negatively impact the environment and the general comfort of citizens.
