The competent public prosecution at the Larache Court of First Instance has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the tragic incident that resulted in the death of a university student yesterday, Tuesday.
According to available information, the victim, an 18-year-old, was on his way to the Multidisciplinary College in Larache, where he was studying in the first year of the Economics program.
Reports indicate that the student fell from the door of the university transport bus, which was overcrowded with students, before losing his life after being run over by the bus’s wheel.
The incident, which claimed the life of student “Omar,” who hailed from the city of Ksar el Kebir, sparked outrage among the student community at the college. Students organized a protest march on Wednesday afternoon, expressing their anger and dissatisfaction with the “neglect” and lack of attention to their interests, holding local officials and elected representatives responsible for their colleague’s death.
