In celebration of Morocco’s Green March anniversary and Independence Day, and coinciding with World Diabetes Day, the Provincial Delegation of Health and Social Protection in Taza organized a health campaign for diabetes patients.
The initiative, conducted in partnership with the Hope for Diabetes Association and under the supervision of the Regional Health Directorate, aimed to provide comprehensive health services to diabetic patients in the region.
Held at the level-two rural health center in Meknassa Sharqiya on November 13, 2024, the event was coordinated with local and regional authorities to ensure effective outreach and support. A total of 153 individuals benefited from the campaign, which included blood pressure measurements, HbA1c tests, weight management, and educational awareness sessions.
Blood glucose monitors were also distributed to participants, garnering appreciation from the local community, particularly among rural residents.
This humanitarian initiative aligns with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection’s strategy to bring essential health services closer to underserved communities, especially diabetic patients in remote areas, ensuring they receive the necessary care and support.
