The city of Fez witnessed on Saturday, November 2, 2024, the second regional conference of the National Federation of Territorial Communities’ Employees and Delegated Management, with the attendance of more than 120 delegates representing the region’s provinces.
The conference was held under the slogan “Unitary, Democratic, Independent Trade Union Organization and Continuous Struggle is Our Path to Protecting Gains and Achieving Demands” at the Moroccan Labor Union headquarters in Fez.
During the conference, the preparatory committee’s report and a presentation by the National Secretary on current developments in the sector were delivered. The literary and financial reports presented by the regional office were unanimously approved.
The conference culminated in the election of a regional administrative committee consisting of 48 members, from which emerged a regional office of 21 members, headed by Younes Chabri as Regional General Secretary, with Jamila El Mansrah as his first deputy.
The conference concluded by adopting a set of important and fundamental recommendations for developing trade union work in the region, as part of the continued implementation of the Federation’s organizational program, which was approved by the University Council held in Casablanca on July 28, 2024.
This conference comes as a reinforcement of organized trade union work and consolidation of the principles of democracy and independence in union action, while emphasizing the continuation of struggle to achieve workers’ demands and protect their gains.
