In a call to enhance the role of Parliament in protecting Morocco’s territorial integrity, King Mohammed VI emphasized the importance of competence and coordination between the two chambers of Parliament.
In his speech marking the opening of the new legislative year, the King stressed the need for establishing appropriate internal structures that include qualified human resources to improve parliamentary performance.
The King urged the adoption of criteria based on competence and expertise when selecting delegations representing Morocco in bilateral meetings and regional and international forums.
King Mohammed VI pointed out that the challenges facing Morocco’s territorial integrity require an effective response from Parliament, calling for a reassessment of the methods and mechanisms used in political action.
He stressed that good coordination between the House of Representatives and the House of Councillors will strengthen the overall effectiveness of parliamentary performance and help in formulating clear strategies to defend the nation’s interests on the global stage.
