The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) today revealed the performance results of its interactive digital platform “Iblagh” during the first three months since its launch in June 2024. The results showed that the platform processed 7,083 reports related to various cybercrimes.
According to the qualitative analysis of the reports, the technical division of national security processed 6,788 notifications related to technological crimes, distributed as follows:
- 60% digital fraud cases
- 20% sexual extortion cases
- 10% defamation and insult cases
- 5% violence and threats cases
- 5% miscellaneous cases including incitement to crimes and illegal online trafficking
In the field of counter-terrorism, the platform received 295 reports related to glorification and incitement of terrorist acts, including 85 reports linked to the “ISIS” organization.
Investigations led to the identification of 82 suspects, with 23 individuals being brought to justice and arrest warrants issued for nine others, while investigations continue for the remaining suspects.
Reflecting citizens’ trust in the platform, more than two-thirds of the reports (4,117) included the complete identity of the reporters. The platform also recorded 564 reports from outside Morocco, including countries in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa.
The General Directorate of National Security confirms that this platform embodies the concept of joint security production, where citizens contribute to protecting the digital space and making it safe and free from threats and criminal behavior.
The DGSN emphasizes that this platform represents collaborative security production, where citizens actively participate in safeguarding digital spaces and maintaining an internet environment free from threats and criminal activities.
