The session for electing the president of the Sidi Hrazem community this morning witnessed unexpected developments after the majority abandoned a previous agreement between the National Rally of Independents (RNI) and the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM). Despite prior confirmation of coordination between the two parties to distribute key positions, PAM councilors were surprised to be allocated only the fourth vice-president position, instead of the previously agreed-upon positions.
Following this development, PAM councilors announced their withdrawal from the vice-presidential nominations, expressing their disappointment with what they described as a ‘betrayal’ of the agreements and joint statements between the two parties’ leadership. Councilor Kamal El Manwar explained that the party experienced a political disappointment, calling for an official statement from its leadership regarding these developments.
The political scene remains open to all possibilities, as observers await the reaction of both parties’ leadership regarding these developments and their impact on political alliances in the Sidi Hrazem community.
