National Health Union Calls for Health Sector Reform and Motivation of Human Resources

The Regional Office of the National Health Union CDT, Moulay Yacoub branch, issued a statement on August 30, 2024, calling for the necessity of reforming the health sector with a focus on motivating and involving human resources in the reform process.

The statement emphasized the following main points:

1. No reform can be achieved without motivating, involving, and valuing human resources.
2. The statement criticized the current state of the health sector, pointing to a decline in health services provided to citizens.
3. It called for the need to improve working conditions and provide job security for health sector workers.
4. The statement pointed out the lack of union involvement in decision-making, which led to arbitrary decisions negatively affecting health workers.
5. It criticized the delay in disbursing health program compensations and the failure to disclose lists of beneficiaries.
6. The statement noted the failure to implement the regional agreement minutes of December 26, 2023, and the delay in paying on-call compensations.
7. It criticized the exclusion of midwives from the rural health center Sidi Daoud from on-call compensations for January/February/March 2024.

In conclusion, the union called on health workers and all activists to mobilize and prepare to confront all unfair decisions and defend their rights and dignity.
