In a new development within the Merinins Provincial Council in Fez, the Citizenship team has submitted a request to include an item on the agenda of the September 2024 session aimed at discussing the dismissal of one of the council members.
This request is based on the provisions of Articles 40, 113, and 83 of the regulatory laws governing local councils. The team bases its request on the fact that the member in question has been absent from several council sessions between October 2021 and September 2023, which constitutes a breach of his duties as a council member.
This move is expected to spark heated discussions during the upcoming session, especially since it concerns the commitment to membership duties and its impact on the council’s work and the future of the Merinins province.
