Councillor asks Taounate governor to remove the head of the Bamhammed village council for legal violations

Local sources have learned that a councillor in the village of Bamhammed in the Taounate region has sent a petition to the regional governor demanding the removal of the head of the collective council, accusing him of violating articles 263 and 264 of Law 113.14.

Abdelwahid Razzouk, the collective councilor, pointed out that the president did not complete the litigation phase related to the lawsuit filed by an investor against the group.

According to the same sources, this lawsuit was filed on September 17, 2020, where the plaintiff demanded the evacuation of part of the property on which the village’s weekly market is built, and a preliminary ruling was issued in the case on January 27, 2021, followed by an appeal ruling on April 5, 2021, while the decision of the Court of Cassation and Conclusion is still pending.

The councillor asserted in his petition that the president violated the requirements of Article 264 of Law 113.14, as the council was not informed of the details of the case until May 6, 2021, about eight months after the date of its submission, as stated in the minutes of the council session held on the same day.
