A tragic accident occurred on the highway linking Marrakech and Agadir on Monday morning, July 29th, when a bus carrying military personnel on leave overturned near the commune of Sidi Mohammed El Dalil in the Chichaoua province. The incident resulted in two fatalities and several others sustaining injuries of varying severity.
Immediately following the accident, the Royal Armed Forces, in coordination with local authorities, quickly mobilized significant human and logistical resources to aid the injured. The wounded were transported to the military hospital in Marrakech to receive necessary treatment.
Meanwhile, the Royal Gendarmerie has initiated an investigation into the incident to determine its circumstances and establish legal responsibilities.
In an official statement issued by the Royal Armed Forces, the military institution extended its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, praying for God Almighty to bestow His vast mercy upon the deceased and grant their loved ones patience and solace. The statement also wished a speedy recovery for the injured.
