Joint Committee Intervenes to Stop Violations Around Sidi Battar Cemetery in Fez

As part of ongoing efforts to maintain public order and protect private property, a joint committee conducted a field visit on Wednesday, the 17th of this month, to Sidi Battar Cemetery in the Duha Group area of the Zouagha urban district in Fez.

The committee was headed by the Chief of the Anbara Administrative Annex and aimed to address two main issues:

  1. Stopping the encroachment of grave diggers onto private lands adjacent to the cemetery.
  2. Halting the operations of unlicensed cement brick production units operating near the cemetery.

This initiative was met with great approval from residents neighboring both the cemetery and the brick production units, who hope this step will contribute to improving the environmental and legal situation in the area.

This campaign comes as part of the local authorities’ ongoing efforts to regulate land use and ensure all commercial activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.

The field visit reflects the commitment of local officials to address community concerns and enforce regulations in the Zouagha urban area of Fez.
