A person was killed and another seriously injured on Monday in an accident that occurred in a quarry on the outskirts of Wadi Amlil community, under the jurisdiction of the Taza regional governorate, according to local sources, while the injured was taken to the Ibn Baja regional hospital in Taza.
According to local sources, the victim died on the spot, while the injured was taken to the Ibn Baja regional hospital in Taza to receive the necessary treatments, while an investigation was opened by the Royal Gendarmerie under the supervision of the Public Prosecution to determine the circumstances of the incident.
The same sources explained that the death resulted from the victim’s fall inside the quarry.
The incident sparked a major alert in the region, where the body of the deceased was transferred to the mortuary for an autopsy, while the injured is receiving the necessary treatment under the care of the Ibn Bajah Regional Hospital Center in Taza.
