On Friday morning, June 21, 2024, the judicial police officers in the city of Mchraa Bel Ksiri arrested two people aged 24 and 42, one of them with a previous criminal record, on suspicion of being involved in a case related to the possession and trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
The arrest of the two suspects took place at the checkpoint at the entrance to the city of Mouchraa Belkesseri, following accurate information provided by the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance that they are active in the field of drug trafficking.
Upon their arrival in a car coming from a city in the north of the Kingdom, they were stopped and searched, where they were found in possession of a large quantity of narcotic pills amounting to 1429 tablets of the types Revotrel and Ecstasy, in addition to a sum of money suspected to be the proceeds of this illicit trade.
The two suspects were taken into custody and subjected to judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecution to determine all the circumstances of this case and identify all those involved in this criminal activity, whether they are direct participants or contributors to this network.
This successful security operation comes within the framework of the continuous efforts made by the General Directorate of National Security, in coordination with other security services, to combat the phenomenon of drugs and their trafficking, which threatens the security and safety of society, especially the youth, and emphasizes the keenness of the General Directorate of National Security to protect the country and citizens from all dangers, and to ensure their security and stability.
