Recent study: By 85%… Moroccans trust security institutions more than ever before

A recent study conducted by the Royal Institute for Strategic Studies revealed that the level of trust in Moroccan security institutions has increased significantly in recent years. The level of confidence increased from 77% in 2016 to 85% in 2023.

During a symposium held on May 2 in Rabat, Director of the Royal Institute for Strategic Studies, Tawfiq Moulin, presented the main results of the third edition of the national survey on social ties. He stressed that the survey included new topics, including a special focus on “sense of security.”

Mullen pointed to a significant improvement in citizens’ confidence in security institutions, which is evident in the noticeable increase in the feeling of security from 77% in 2016 to 85% in 2023.

He also stated that citizens have begun to take security for granted and it is no longer a given or a source of concern.
