He added that the Kingdom of Morocco seeks, in this regard, to give greater momentum to cooperation with these countries by raising the level of trade exchange, encouraging investment, and involving the private sector in creating opportunities for cooperation, participating in various economic events, exchanging experiences and expertise in many sectors, as well as benefiting from the successful experiences that it has accumulated. After stressing that Jerusalem is considered the core of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Mr. Ait and Ali mentioned that His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Jerusalem Committee, has emphasized on more than one occasion the importance of preserving its legal and historical status and absolute rejection of unilateral measures.

The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, said in a speech on the occasion that the Arab region, the countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan constitute a geographical, civilizational and cultural space that holds many things in common, where relations have blended and exchanges have diversified over the past decades to form a common cultural asset that everyone is proud of.

He added that the forum is being held in light of intertwined and simultaneous challenges and crises that cannot be dealt with alone, reviewing in this regard the dangerous developments in the Palestinian territories and calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, which has become a humanitarian necessity.
