After “Fas News” exposed a scandal file of sexual harassment allegedly involving the director of an educational institution in the vocational sector, affiliated with the Regional Directorate in Moulay Yaakoub, with one of the students inside his office, the Regional Directorate in Moulay Yaakoub issued a clarification statement regarding the incident.
According to a clarification statement issued by the Regional Directorate in Moulay Yaakoub, available to “Fas News”, the Directorate immediately upon learning of the incident, formed a committee composed of department heads and educational inspectors to investigate the veracity of the incident.
The committee arrived this morning, Friday, April 26, 2024, at the concerned institution, where it conducted necessary investigations and listened to all relevant parties, before compiling a detailed report on the matter.
Based on the committee’s report, the Regional Directorate has taken a precautionary measure to temporarily suspend the director of the institution from work, pending referral to the disciplinary council to take appropriate legal action against him.
The accused director has also been immediately relieved of his educational administrative duties, to ensure the normal operation of the institution and to safeguard the interests of the students.
Note: “Fas News” denies having published the video footage related to the incident, out of respect and commitment to the ethical principles of journalism. The newspaper has opted to bring the issue to light by publishing a professional news excerpt, intending to prompt action from those concerned to activate legal procedures and inform the public opinion with the facts that the media is entitled to.
Also, the statement attributed to the Regional Directorate in Moulay Yaakoub, of which a copy was received, is unsigned and its official source is unknown, only being circulated.
