In the context of enhancing reproductive and sexual health rights, which are essential for population health, development relies on integration between technical aspects and a set of specialized skills to meet the challenges facing the healthcare system.
The Regional Health and Social Protection Directorate in the Fez-Meknes region, in collaboration with the Higher Institute of Nursing Professions and Health Technologies in Fez, and with the support of the United Nations Population Fund, organized a seminar on April 25, 2024, entitled “Multidisciplinary Training as a Key Pillar in Enhancing Reproductive and Sexual Health.”
The aim of this event is to provide a platform for constructive interaction between academic, strategic, and practical levels, targeting all healthcare stakeholders including doctors, nurses, researchers, and health sciences students.
Representatives from the Population Directorate of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the Director of the Higher Institute of Nursing Professions, and representatives from the United Nations Population Fund, as well as deans of medical, pharmacy, and dental faculties in Fez, and coordinators of the seminar, participated in this meeting.
During this seminar, participants discussed various topics including: the National Strategy for Reproductive and Sexual Health, new approaches to enhancing the capacities of healthcare workers, the rights-based approach in the field of reproductive and sexual health, and the challenges of governance in restructuring the healthcare system and its impact on enhancing reproductive and sexual health. These sessions witnessed discussions and practical workshops.
The important scientific day concluded with the announcement of outputs to enhance skills in the field of reproductive and sexual health, where participants expressed their readiness to contribute to the development of this vital field.
