Aziz Akhannouch, the Moroccan Prime Minister, has suggested the possibility of making governmental changes in the coming days, following the conclusion of the national conferences of the coalition parties.
During a joint exclusive interview with the first and second Moroccan channels, Akhannouch affirmed the majority’s commitment to holding a meeting immediately after the National Rally of the Independence Party, scheduled to be held at the end of this weekend.
Akhannouch did not rule out the possibility of a government reshuffle, explaining that “there are new governmental priorities aimed at improving government performance.”
He added, “We are waiting after the Independence Party conference to sit down and see how we will manage the next phase in full respect of the constitution’s rules.”
He continued, “We will see what will be discussed in the majority’s meeting that we will hold soon after the Independence conference.”
Akhannouch praised the achievements of his government during its half-term, confirming that it “worked seriously and achieved positive results” thanks to the efforts of its members and the solidarity of the majority.
He emphasized that the government has achieved a “commendable result,” but “our aspirations are greater, and the good lies ahead of us.
