Spain emphasizes the importance of the International Agricultural Exhibition in Morocco as the most significant agricultural event in North Africa!

The International Agricultural Exhibition in Morocco, held in Meknes from April 22 to 28 under the theme “Climate and Agriculture…Towards Sustainable and Resilient Production Systems,” witnessed significant Spanish participation as the guest of honor of this sixteenth edition.

The Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food affirmed that this exhibition is one of the most important agricultural events in North Africa, bringing together nearly 1,500 exhibitors from 70 countries. It is expected to attract more than 900,000 visitors.

Spain has a significant pavilion at the exhibition representing various stages of agricultural production, from agricultural inputs to irrigation technology and industrial refrigeration. Spain is the main supplier of goods and services to Morocco, with Spanish exports to Morocco reaching a historical record of 12.146 billion euros in 2023, an increase of 3.3% compared to 2022. Spanish food exports to Morocco have nearly tripled since 2019, reaching 1.155 billion euros in 2023.

Spain participates in various events and seminars held during the exhibition to discuss key issues of interest to the agricultural sector, such as innovation, sustainability, climate change, and water management. Spain also presents new technological solutions to future challenges and ensures the profitability of farms.
