Gérald Darmanin is going to Rabat on Sunday and Monday at the invitation of his Moroccan counterpart Abdelouafi Laftit, to “deepen” cooperation between the two countries in the field of security “in an unstable international context”, we learned. Saturday with the French Interior Ministry.
“This visit is part of the dynamic of the numerous cooperations put in place by France and Morocco, to jointly address the challenges specific to our two countries,” the same source added.
During this visit, the French Minister of the Interior will be received by his Moroccan counterpart as well as by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Ahmed Taoufiq.
He will also meet with representatives of the Franco-Moroccan business community and the French community of Rabat.
On this occasion, the ministry specified, Mr. Darmanin will be accompanied by the main directors general of the Ministry of the Interior and Overseas Territories.
